20182014-18  Hawaii Top 100 Realtors in Transactions Corey Cazares is a disabled combat veteran, with 8 years of service to his country. He spent 3 of those years deployed to various combat zones while serving as an army aviator. After being honourably discharged from the army, he spent a few years working with various government contractors who also serviced the Army aviation community. In 2007, he attended a VA homebuyer’s seminar, where he realized that his dreams of owning a home were closer than he thought.  This would be the changing point in his career and his life’s path.

Shortly after closing on his first home, he realized that not only was homeownership more attainable than he thought but also, that there was a system in place for veterans like him to get there. He realized that if more veterans and active-duty military knew about this benefit, then more veterans would take advantage and make more informed financial decisions when choosing their living situations in Hawaii.  He quickly saw a role he could play that would directly affect veterans in a positive way. Less than one week after closing on his home, Corey left his six-figure job in civilian aviation to pursue real estate. Corey had one simple goal, and that was to help our country’s veterans better understand, plan for and achieve homeownership.  Corey sponsors and attends the Newcomers Briefing on Schofield Barracks Army Base.  He is there to educate incoming soldiers on the VA Home Loan and the benefits of homeownership as opposed to renting.

In a relatively short period of time, Corey has gone from being a “rookie” with a dream to helping record numbers of military and veteran families in securing their first home.  Corey is ranked among the top 100 of real estate agents in the entire state of Hawaii for transactions for the past 5 years. The vast majority of his sales are VA and while the average agent will sell 2-4 homes this year, Corey will average 48-52.  Despite the numbers and the hype, Corey’s success revolves around that same simple principle: serving those who serve our country. His track record shows that he means business and in a high paced market, he is making VA loans work for our soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines. With clients ranging from E-1’s to 07’s, he is ready and willing to make sure all those who have served our country, have every opportunity to own their piece of it.
