Hi, My name is Mike Foster and I’m a Navy Veteran, loving husband, and real estate investor of 5+ years.
My wife and I PCS’d to Hawaii last fall. We were considering renting for our short time here, but we soon found out we were pregnant with our first child.
After some research, we decided to buy a house here and later use it as a college fund. We closed in January of 2020 on a single-family home that was worth $640,000. As long as history repeats itself, in 18 years our house will be worth $1,602,000!!!
Now that is a college fund!
We are incredibly happy with our decision, and we know our family will be better off for it in the long run.
I hope that story inspires you, because we were on the fence for quite some time.
Our other option was to rent for 3 years, and spend over $100,000 we were never going to see again. Once we saw the numbers, it was a no brainer. We just needed to figure out how to fit it into our budget and plan for the long-term investment.
Now, let’s be real… Having a kid on the way puts you in a WHOLE different mindset lol.
If you’ve been there, done that, gotten the T-shirt, and the stain from the explosive diaper on the T-shirt, then you know what I’m talking about…
If you’re not there yet, TAKE YOUR TIME! But for now, try to have a little imagination… ;)
So, if you’re on the fence like we were, let’s chat! I’m willing to bet I had the same questions you do, and I’d be happy to answer them for you.
Shoot me a text message or give me a call and we’ll set something up.
